15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AT THE FLYING ACADEMY
means that we know the vast universe of the education system like the back of our own spacecraft.
The challenges of modern education are not some uncharted territory waiting to be discovered —
they are part of our everyday reality. It means thousands of hours of trying and making mistakes, learning from
experience and constantly refining our language-teaching skills to finally reach orbit. Behind us are years of practice
at the Faculties of Applied Astrolinguistics and Stellar Iberian Studies, as well as plenty of hands-on experience in the field.
Fifteen years of experience also means working with more than a several dozen representatives of the human race, an ocean of successes,
but also failures – without which we would not be where we are today.
And this is exactly the kind of background that sets us apart. We believe in honesty and an individual approach to every one of our Cadets.
Above all, it is our belief that absolutely everyone has a chance to reach for the stars that keeps us moving forward.

Emilian Malinowski
A true grammar Terminator, forged in the halls of Applied Astrolinguistics. Speciality: murder in Spanish and English. He also dabbles in assassinations in Portuguese. By night, he translates last wills written in an extinct variety of Nahuatl, then travels to the Yucatán to make sure they are duly executed. Children connect with him instantly, because when it comes to empathy, he can do roughly what the Oder did to Wrocław in 1997. He regularly sets off to check whether the ziggurat of Ur is still standing, or to find out just how long one can survive crossing the desert during snake and scorpion mating season on the way to the tombs of the ancient kingdom of Magan. He has even been known to stay as a guest of a Balinese king in his palace.

Ali Rıza Şakıbay
A Turkish language RoboCop. He mastered English practically in the cradle. At weekends, as befits an artist, he either creates his own masterpieces or binge-watches Marvel movies. Alternatively, he can be found rescuing stray cats. If anyone can coax shy, bashful English out of hiding (the kind you keep locked away in the basement like Uncle Fester from "The Addams Family") – it’s our Turkish charmer. After all, he is the one behind the success of our youngest Cadets, who break through the language barrier with him and start speaking English, blissfully unaware that he could actually answer them in Polish too... He also teaches Turkish in English – though not without the occasional Polish interjections!

If, when choosing the most romantic word for “butterfly” from mariposa, farfalla, papillon, fjäril and Schmetterling, the last one makes you want to shoot yourself, it probably means it’s time to come under Asia’s wing. Our decidedly-not-a-bad-omen lone woman on board is a firm believer in a modern approach to language learning – despite having been raised in the spirit of good old German Ordnung, including during her time at Applied Astrolinguistics! Battle-hardened by her experience at an international school in Chemnitz, she is as effective as a Messerschmitt – only somewhat gentler.

To get our Russian teacher from Yekaterinburg aboard the ship, we had to bribe Yeltsin himself and half of Roscosmos. But it was worth it! Our ever-reliable Aleksandr Andreevich, unimpressed by the performance of the Soyuz 2 rocket, decided to emigrate to Warsaw almost a decade ago – initially on a trial basis – and somehow ended up staying with us for good. He could probably write a second Wikipedia on the former Soviet republics, naturally in Polish, in which he holds a certified C1 level. In his spare time, he roams the forests with his black tomcat in search of Baba Yaga, trying to prove once and for all that she is, in fact, Russian.
